Thanks for sharing I will study Abdominal cutaneous nerve entrapment syndrome
(ACNES)
I think that could help many folks with their pain.
I have been helped by eating gluten free for over 3 months now.
Taking supplements for ulcer/ mucosal lining
Doing therapy sessions of body work called The Egoscue Method
Massage for myofascial release
I am going to also study the MELT Method as well
http://www.meltmethod.com/about
I have made many changes for my health, Vegetarian, Walk daily, Take in a serious study of Bible Lessons Daily, Get daily sunlight or take Vit D and other supplements, Veggie Juice, Breathing exercises, 1 hour daily of Egoscue exercises, green smoothies from the raw family and very clean organic local raw food diet, pure water, air purifiers and Water therapy, Massage, weekly coffee enemas, castor oil packs and oilpulling (see oilpulling.com. ETC. I keep learning every day. Over the past two years I lost 100 lbs and kept 90 of it off for over 6 months. BTW changing to veggies, Juicing and not drinking black coffee (except on holidays and vacation) and of course the Grace of God has helped my kick m y sugar cravings. I still must be careful to avoid much sugar or too many fruits or starchy carbs. But I do not feel restricted at all like I did with years of dieting. While I am very careful about what I eat I also know as written in the scriptures, Man shall not live by bread alone but by every Word that proceeds out of the mouth of God! Matthew 4:4 and John 14:6 is what real health is for. We all have a purpose and we are all only here in this life for a little while. I pray for the suffering of those in pain and I hope I can keep learning so I can share more. Thank you again for your story and info on Abdominal cutaneous nerve entrapment syndrome, (ACNES).
I am researching Post Gallbladder Surgery complications to expose s dishonest con and save my heath - save my life. Longs story short, my body cannot function normally after gallbladder removed and systematically shut down while developing complications include URQ Pain. I found a cure which worked for me. Long Distance cycling daily for two months. End result - all heath issues backing (flushed) out of my system in reverse order of occurrence, as detailed in a heath diary:
1. Breathing difficulty
2. Fatigue, heart muscle strain, breathing complications
3. Unable to pass foods through stomach
4. Feeling of food not swallowed - back of throat feeling.
5. bloating (massive and painful)
6. Pains under liver radiating towards the back
7. Constant stomach pains (IBS)
8. Reflux
9. Weight / fat build up - My waist size decreased from 41.5 to 37 inches relaxed
10. Stool returned to normal output - Solid
2010 - First day riding I was afraid of having a heart attack if I cycled up a hill hard. I became free of all symptoms (flushed out of my body) at 7 week mark, cycling on average 100 - to 180Km every day in temperatures up to 42 degrees. I crossed the French, Swiss an Italian Alps – some hill climbs were 25Km long. My heath returned to normal as prior to gallbladder surgery in 2006, no pain or discomfort whatsoever except for an occasional sharp pain after drinking wine under on right side radiating towards the back (original complaint which lead to gallbladder surgery)
My fitness and wellbeing held up for 6 months after retuning to home. I discovered at 3rd week back my fitness had started to drop dramatically so I then kicked off a weekly cycle training routine of up to 500 Km per week, 160- 180km rides in weekend. Living off credit cards I refused return to take a desk job to stay normal
Some reflux did kick in after the 3rd month.
I noticed breathing issues starting to kick in at month 4, but not substantial.
Placed Top 50 elite rider status in 9000 strong field - 160Km fun ride - nromal gain
Celiac Diet
I maintain a Celica diet as best as I can. However in Europe I ate every thing to give me energy, including lots French bread and milk after 8hour daily rides. During the “eat every thing diet”, my heath still improved
I did not return to employment or attempt to sit behind a desk for more than 4 hours at a time 2 times a week
Started a desk job seven months ago. This is what happened. All the horrible heath compactions systematically retuned in reverse order of leaving my body. After only 4 days working, bloating returned. I now have the pain on right side constant. Waist increased 4 inches in FAT. IBS is back, I cannot breath well, lost all fitness. cannot eat food. Gone from elite fitness to wanting to kill myself again. My body has shut down. Continual pain and discomfort, reflux, heart burn, throat pain. I put it down to this. Seated with legs 90 degrees from upper body blocks the food somehow from leaving the stomach easily and not enought bile or quality bile provied on demand to meet food intake. Not sure why.
I will quit work soon, credit cards full, ride for my life again in outback of Australia heat. This will be my third flush out after three heath shut downs over 5 years to save my life
Carrying out gallbladder surgery on elite endures sport and fitness heath freaks, reason only to remove a single gallstone instance, no attacks, no stomach pains except RUQ pain is pure sadistic evil murder. Obtaining consent by not disclosing potential health complications when directly ask, (Surgeons not believing in or disclosing possible PCS complication) and providing assurance patents can live a normal healthy life and resuming current fitness lifestyle is a lie, criminal fraud and breach of human rights. We need to stand up and call a spade a spade. Our lives destroyed for few pieces of silver – dishonest gain by dishonest surgeons needing to maintain $$M incomes. The medical community know full well what’s going on. Take a stand – Save a fellow human being from this torture
Good luck all. Hope my short term cure story helps someone develop a cure for all
For anyone who is having RUQ pain but tests are coming back negative, be sure to rule out ACNES. Mangosucker and some others previously posted about this and it has given me relief and validation!
I am 28 years old and have a 3 year old and 1 year old. I have been struggling with RUQ pain since my second pregnancy but especially since April of this year.
I have been tested for every GI problem imaginable, thousands of dollars only for negative results. Meanwhile I have been feeling worse by the day, barely able to brush my kids' teeth. I have cancelled every hobby and I've stopped trying to even leave the house. I've lost tons of weight, I've been losing my hair and my mind! Each negarive test result felt like a slap in the face. How can nothing be showing up when I feel this sick?
My GI doctor told me I have a functional abdominal problem which seemed to be code for "it's in your head because we can't find a problem". He started me on Bentyl for IBS which has been helping a little bit but not enough. Plus, I haven't had any bowel changes so nothing was making sense.
I was desperately doing research online the other night and found this forum where ACNES was mentioned. My mom is a medical assistant for a physiatrist who specializes in muscle treatment and he agreed to try the trigger point injection this morning. It worked! When he hit that nerve it shot me through the roof! Now the injection site is sore but the rest of my body feels so much better.
My theory is that I injured the nerve during pregnancy and every time I ate, the food passing through would press on that nerve. The pain made me tense, radiated all over my stomach and into my back and gave me an aversion to food. It explains so much.
I still might have something like IBS along with it and I am afraid to hope that my problem is completely solved but my hope is that once that nerve has been calm for a little while, all the other symptoms will calm down as well. It's been 14 hours since the injection and I haven't had a stomach ache yet, which is the longest I have gone in months!
It was totally thinking outside the box. A pinched nerve in my abdominal wall had never crossed my mind and I don't even know if my GI doctor knows about this. I am sending copies of the ACNES report to my GI doctor, my PCP and my OBGYN.
My heart goes out to each of you. Please don't give up and know that you aren't alone.

I can't help either. I am 26 and I have the same pain on my right side right under my ribs too. I have been having this pain ever since I was a little girl. I just recently had my appendix removed and its gotten worse. I was told that the wall on my gallbladder is thicker than normal. What do I do?
I am having this pain in my URQ, it feels like a muscle cramp under my rib cage. If I stretch a certain way, or sometimes right after a BM I feel it tense up, like a charlie horse, but under my rib cage instead of my leg. It's been on and off for about 6 months, and becoming more frequent. I haven't had my galbladder since 2009, and I haven't gone to the doctor because I don't have insurance. Does anyone know what it could be?
sorry forgot your sender name but am in constant pain, like a strain in my right rib cage area
