After effects of colonoscopy

I had a colonoscopy in November that proved inconclusive, everything was fine after and I had a second one in December. Since then I get agonizing pain just above my belly button, it can last anytime from a few minutes to a few hours. When it lasts longer it leaves me with a very uncomfortable stomach ache that can last all day. I get it every day at least twice and it seems to be worse late afternoon early evening as a rule. The pain feels like its burning through into my back and the sharp tummy pain leaves me feeling sick, moving will make it worse. The tummy is always tender to some degree and I find bending hard. It has really had an impact on my life. I have been to my GP who has referred me back to the hospital for investigation. I wanted to know if anyone knows of anything that may help relieve the symptoms until I can be seen.  I do have Lupus and Fibromyalgia so not sure if that could have anything to do with it. Any input would be much appreciated.

Hi, the pain may not be related to colonoscopy. It could be appendicitis. The pain in appendicitis generally starts around the umbilicus and moves to the lower right quadrant of the abdomen. The other symptoms for Appendicitis are fever, nausea, vomiting and malaise. The other causes for pain could be urinary tract infection, pelvic infections, renal colic and sometimes bowel infections. Please discuss this with your doctor am sure he will provide further assistance. Regards.

Thank you for responding, since posting I have seen the consultant and had a scan. Seems when they did the colonoscopy they tore through the intestines (or something in that area) with the scope, it is a rare but possible as stated on the form I signed. That is causing the pain. Still no news on how they are going to fix it and the pain gets so bad, nothing seems to relieve it. I was hoping someone may have had a tip for pain relief.
