Anemia and Ulcers???

OKAY....for the hundreth time (: I think I might have an ulcer and I have an upper GI coming up in about a week. I did some blood work and the results came back saying I might be anemic, which I think is possibly coming from the ulcer or h-pylori bacteria, is there anyone who thinks I could be on to something. thanks

Its funny, I have no symptoms of IBS....and Celiac I'm not exactly sure of. See, all my problems started on a DIME, about 8 months ago, and Im just wondering if its an ulcer. See, I heard that H-pylori can cause Iron not to absorb into your blood, etc. I have NEVER had stomach issues and NEVER been anemic until all of this. Weird...thank you for your input, it is appreicated and very helpful. Thanks!

Very possible...you also could be having a hard time absorbing nutrients (usually caused by a food allergy or intolerance..celiac's for example are super low on a bunch of vitamins because they're not absorbing nutrients).  Or if you've been having a lot of IBS-D you could be short there as well..

Hopefully they'll find the problem, before they knock you out you could ask the doctor about celiac so he can maybe do a biopsy in that area to double check it (that way you don't have to go in twice..) but yeah hope you figure it out.  Usually an upper GI endoscope is a good way to figure things out when it comes to stomach problems.
