Annoying Discomfort Right Rib Cage

I am a 45 year old woman and have experienced CONSTANT discomfort in my right lower (and sometimes upper) ribcage.  The pain "travels".  Actually I would not call it pain, sometimes it feels as though there is pressure from inside pushing outward against the ribs.  Like a wadded sock under my ribs!  The discomfort has been present for over a year, but never so bad or painful that I wanted to immediately seek help.  However, living everyday w/discomfort is growing old!  It at times almost seems that it could be a muscular or skeletal problem.  Other than the discomfort, I've experienced no problems.  My appetite is GREAT, I generally feel good everyday and am exercising daily.  I have regular bms and no sign of liver disfunction, such as jaundice, discolored urine etc. I have never had an

I started having the SAME feeling about a year ago and have never seen anyone describe it like that, having a baby under your rib cage. That's exactly what it feels like to me. Initially the symptom was accompanied by extreme nausea, stomach pain and severe IBS symptoms (altering between diarrhea  and constipation). I had bloodwork done testing for inflammation markers and liver enzymes, I had ultrasounds, a colonoscopy and endoscopy and the only thing they could find was chronic gastritis (my stomach is chronically enflamed). The symptoms have seemed to come and go over the year with less severity but recently, they seem to be pretty bad. Still no answers and don't feel like going back through all the tests to find nothing. Have you gone to a dr or heard anything?

I think you have gallstones I have the same problem there's no pain but just feeling nausea and felt something under my rib cage. Also I was diagnosed with chronic gastritis. I'm feeling much better now as I juice up fruits and vegetables like spinach, carrot broccoli, almond nuts. Just use only apple and fruits with less acid. Its better to stay away from high acidic fruits as it cause too much gas. Fry food is not good and drink green tea and peppermint tea after meal as it is good for the stomach. Hope this helps

This is not an answer but a cry for help. I am having the same discomfort as yourself in my lower right rib cage. Feels kind of like when you're pregnant and the baby is pushing up against your side. It's very uncomfortable. Accompanied with bloating and a headache. Sometimes with nausea. I came online looking for some help. Maybe a home remedy. The discomfort comes n goes. Not constant but often recurring. Is there a name for this? What should I do? Have you found relief?

The best thing you can do is to totally quit drinking alcohol, if you want to live a healthy, longer life.

And Yes, you CAN clean up your liver - do a Dr. Schultz Liver Cleanse.  Do one every year to maintain a healthy liver.   I avoided gallbladder surgery by doing liver cleanses.  I had a terrible bout with gallstones and was terribly ill for 8 months.  After doing 2 cleanses I passed all the gallstones and got healthy again.  Avoided surgery.  (Most people who get their gallbladder removed say the pain never really goes away....)

I agree..I have experienced all the same conditions that everyone has detailed so well. I don't have pain just a nagging pressure and dullness felling that seemed to move around...come and go. I had blood work done and appear to be very healthily so my doctor tells me. I narrowed it down to either stomach infections or a nasty parasite. I heard carrots, garlic, sauerkraut, lemons are good for cleaning your stomach and intestines. Pure 100% cranberry juice...no sugar and not the ocean spray brand  can also clean your body especially the kidney. I have been drinking 1 part real lemon juice and 1 part water and this seems to taking away the pressure feel in in my stomach or intestines. I have also been grating carrots and eating them on an empty stomach which is supposed to kill those nasty parasites. I also like and eat sauerkraut and lots of garlic not to mention raw tomatoes and ooions help too. The doctors won't prescribe medicine for me because I diagnosed it myself. So decided to kill the infections or parasites with natural home remedies. Although it seems and I stress seems to be working for me doesn't mean it will work for everyone. I will provide an update in a couple weeks. Hopefully I kill what's ailing my stomach or intestines or organs.

I have sort of that pain. It's not in my gall bladder or lower abdominal region. It's always under my right rib cage. My partner had gall bladder stones and she had pain in the lowlower front and back. Plus vomitting and blood in her urine . She had her gall bladder removed . I don'thave any of that .  The pain, to me, feels almost like the MS hug . I'm going to be 42 . I do have heartburn among other health iissues. So while it could be gall bladder for some, we must rremember that diseases mimic each other. All I know is that it is annoying .
