Your body may simply still be in a state of shock from the surgery. It does take a while for the body to get used to the increased flow of bile after gb surgery, so try to be patient at least another week. Another possibility is that you still have sludge built up in your bile duct. That will certainly keep the same symptoms going that you had before the surgery. You'll need to speak to your GI doc about that, since he's the one who can treat it. Good luck!
I have the feeling under my right ribcage as well. I think it is related to a backache because of the way I slouch at my computer and the fact that I first noticed it after a long bike ride and then sat down awkwardly for awhile. The backache turned into a lower right abdomen tension. I also feel a fatty cyst underneath my skin below my ribcage that I have had for years but may now be contributing. It's funny because if I just relax it feels a bit better, but then it feels as if I am slouching too much ... and then that just makes it worse. I'm just getting old, maybe I need a male girdle.
