Anyone have a metal stent inserted for Sphincter of Oddi dysfunction?

I was wondering if anyone has gone down this path, having a metal stent placed to help this condition.  I have had 5 ERCP's since my gallbladder removal summer of '13.  3 of the 5 were plastic stent insertions, the other 2 procedures where placing multiple stents in the bile duct to stretch it open in hopes of it staying that way.  I had good results with the single plastic stent placements, until they either passed out of me or shifted.  My GI doc (well respected here at the Univ. of MN) says based on my symptoms (bloated abdomen no matter what I eat, sharp pain where the GB was, nausea, and the feeling of having a softball inserted inside me all the time) the only other options are either botox injection or a metal stent.  Status quo isn't acceptable, so my guess is one of these options is the next step.  Just wondering if anyone out there has experience either of these, and what the outcome was.  Thank you!
