Buzzing feelilng in the anus

I have had a hemorrhoid tab for years,  I usually bleeds a little but never anything serious.  The doctor advised I live with it if possible.  Recently I had a pretty tough bowel movement.  Over the weekend, I drank more coffee than usual, ate more chocolate than usual, and now I've developed this buzzing or electrical feeling in my anus area.  It comes and goes, about every 10 or 20 seconds.  It is worrying me somewhat and I'd like to know what it could be.  Help please.

sounds like maybe pinworms or something - try cure zone.  you might find something there for testing and at least eliminating doubts.  one step at a time; i wish you luck.

Doubt it's related.
I had mine removed many years ago and I get the feeling quite often. The doctor has failed to explain to me exactly what does cause it though. I know it has something to do with nerve endings however.
