Chronic Diarrhea And Mucus In stools.

I am an 18 year old male overweight, and I smoke.(Trying To Quit.)  For the past month or so I have been having stomach problems. It started with diarrhea in the morning's. After that I was having yellow colored stools that seemed to be soft or loose like it would all come out at once. Some of the stools contained small amounts of yellow mucus. Then there was a span of days where I had felt pretty much fine, and was having normal colored regular stools. In the past couple days it has come back. It started with stomach gurgling that seemed to be almost constant with very little to no amounts of pain in my stomach.  I ended up going to bed. The next morning I experienced large amounts of diarrhea a couple of times. I was still feeling the gurgling for pretty much the whole day. I went to the bathroom later in the day to have a bowel moment, and was worried with what I saw. Mucus, but not like I had previously seen. It was all white in color. It honestly looked like someone had spit a bunch of times into the toilet. That was all that was coming out there was no stool just mucus. This happened a couple more times, and then I went to bed. The next day I awoke feeling better than the previous day, but still with the stomach gurgling. I thought maybe it was something I had eaten, So I eliminated the things I consume most on a daily basis such as dairy products. The only things I eat were two soft pretzels with no salt at around lunch time, and  a small meatball sub (Probably not a good idea.) around dinner time. I drank nothing, but water for the entire day. I started keeping a diary of what I've eaten and my bowel movements. My bowel movements for yesterday seemed somewhat better. Diarrhea/softish stool in morning brownish in color, and then a loose soft stool slightly darkish brown in color. No diarrhea with the second one, and no mucus that I can recall. This morning however was a different story. Woke up having some gurgling in stomach like usual. went to the bathroom, and had diarhea with some solid. after the diarrhea I felt like I still needed to go. After I was finished I looked in the toilet and saw lots of mucus on the surface, More than I have ever seen before in one of my bowel movements. I know this is nasty, but it seemed to be very foamy. It was yellow/brown/orange in color. I think i could see some undigested food in it almost like a green. maybe some seasoning that was on the meatballs. That was about a half and hour ago. Right now I'm experiencing stomach gurgling like usual and my stomach just feels uneasy. Its hard to describe how it feels. I haven't ever vomited from this or felt like I was going to. I don't really feel sick. The closest thing I can describe to is the feeling you get in your stomach when your really hungry or you haven't eaten anything. It just feels uneasy. Further on the gurgling it seems to only be coming from my left side. When i say left side i mean, when i look down at my stomach its to the left, from my point of view. Its kinda hard to pinpoint it but I would say it's right around where your ribs end below the breast somewhat to the left. I have not really experienced any abdominal pain. A couple times I did, but it was very minor. I have had no blood in my stools since this has started. I make sure to check every time. I do seem to feel an increase in the amount when i belch they are usually larger burps. I'm not sure what all of this is, but I really hope I can find out. I tend to worry about things a lot (anxiety) and my main concern and worry is that I have cystic fibrosis. I never had any health problems as a kid, but I read it can develop later on in life. I've looked at other stomach issues such as IBS, IBD, UC, CD, But my problem seems to be and all of the time kinda thing. It has gone away at random times, and I feel fine, but it always seems to come back. Like I said I have a doctor's appointment today, So I'll make sure to address all of these problems with him, and update when I get home.  To me it just seems like I'm not properly digesting, but i don't know. I ask that any of you with similar symptoms or with a diagnosis please post. It would be very appreciated. Thank you.

Small update, but I went to the appointment with my doctor earlier, and told him all of the above. He said it could be IBS and some acid reflux, and asked if I would like to see a GI doctor. I said yes. He said it could also be from smoking since nicotine is a stimulant and it can do that to you, and told me to cut off soda and caffeine which I already have. My GI appointment is this monday, So I'll post an update after that.
