Chronic diarrhea for months

Hi all, I have been battling chronic diarrhea for approximately 4 months following a 3 week period of flu in November 2016. I usually have diarrhea after I eat, and have lost appetite due to feeling nauseated with faced with food. I have tried to switch my diet to a less oily one with weaker flavours to encourage appetite but to no avail. I frequently vomit, about 3-4x a week, and I have about 3-4 diarrhea runs a day after meals with body fatigue and aches and during the purging process I see flashes and break out in cold sweat. This is a regular occurrence. I see my doctor on a regular basis and he has no clue, and has been treating my symptoms and brushing aside my problem as food poisoning or stomach flu but offering no concrete long term solution to my problem. I have taken so many pills that I have lost count. I carry packets with me in my purse and I rarely go out now in fear of having to run to the toilet. He has also recommend seeing a psychiatrist, I'm not sure why but it makes me think that he thinks I'm making up the severity of my problem. I don't live particularly close to a hospital, what should I do?

I have tested myself for food allergies and avoid them in my diet. My diet currently comprises of plain porridge or bread, vegetable and fruits, and the occasional tofu. I do not take any dairy products because I am lactose intolerant.
