Colon Polyps in 20's

Last year doctors found 26 polyps scattered throughout my large and small intestine, ranging from 2mm - 12mm. I continue to suffer with constipation for days then diarrhoea. Constant painful bloating and most recently severe lower back and hip pain that radiates down my legs. Doctors don't seem to take my concerns seriously because of my age. But at the age of 27 this is worrying to me. Should I be worried?

Hi, you could be having polyposis coli. Familial adenomatous polyposis (FAP), also known as familial polyposis coli, adenomatous polyposis coli, or Gardner syndrome, is seen in approximately one in  8,000 individuals. Your symptoms could be due to polyps. There is also the cancer risk. So, follow up with your doctor for monitoring. Regards.
