Constant Gas

Hey! I've seen so many posts about constant gas and you all seem to be having the same problem as me. (uncontrollable gas, killing your social life, you don't want to go out in public, etc.) I was wondering if any of you have found a cure because it is ruining my life and I am starting to lose hope. I am a 16 year old girl and I want this to be cured before college. The social embarassment at school was so bad that I am in online school now. I just don't know where to turn anymore : / Also, I'm not sure how to bring it up to my parents. I'm sure they probably have noticed the smell, but they just think I'm lazy and don't want to go out and be with people. How do I tell them that it's because I always smell?? ALSO: I never smell it, but people make fun of me and they make strange gestures so I know that they can smell it.

Welcome to the gastroenterology community!  First, do you avoid 100% of all gluten?  Have you tried a lactose free diet.  Have you seen a doctor about this?

I've seen a doctor and they said I am not lactose intolerant, but I still went on a lactose free diet. I NEVER eat gluten and I eat at home all of the time to make sure. My doctor can't figure out what it is so I decided to try the candida diet. I tested positive for it with the spit test so I'm going to try it out.

Ok, good, let us know how that goes.

You may want to try a week on prilosec.  This can help tremendously with Gas even thought its advertised for acid reflux.  I have noticed a huge difference from when Im on it vs when Im not.  And its fairly inexpensive.

Have you noticed that when you pass hard stoll in morning, you will relif for a while?

Anyone can explain how Gluten intolerant makes this issue? Why some times feel fine and controlled although we eat same food?

Is white and brwon bread should be avioded in gluten diet?

guys, we all can work together to findout the common symtops and could trace out the issue. I suggest to list all tests and results done and findout a doctor who is really keen to help.

Yes I noticed that about the stool thing! I don't even understand the gluten intolerance thing entirely even though I have it and I researched it so much : / I also got tested for lactose intolerance but it was negative even though milk bothers me?? The candida diet is sort of helping after the first five days so far,but not really much change to be honest.

There is a difference between lactose intolerance and a milk allergy.  You might have a milk allergy.  If milk bothers you, you should avoid it.

Hey, I'm 14, and the way I get by is by doing it when no one's around, or getting a pass to the bathroom. I get gassy from just about anything I eat [usually after lunch I'm farting nonstop, and if I don't let it out on my own the pressure builds up until I'm leaking out a constant flow of it d:-( ], and since I also can't burp, it has to come out the other end, doubling my output. But if you have good friends they usually don't care if you're outside of school.

Hope you find the "cure"!
