Dull Pain years post operation

About 12 years ago I had my gallbladder removed.  In 2007 a dull pain returned in the right area just below the ribs.
I was then diagnosed with breast cancer in May 2007, so didn't follow up with this problem as the discomfort left.  I have now finished my chemo and herceptin treatment last December 2008 and the dull pain returned early March.
I noted on my last MRI it stated I had showers of gallstones and thought this must be the current problem, so how do I get rid of them or is there a special diet I should be on.  My current medication is Arimidex for 5 years, caltrate for my bones and glucosamine for joints.  I do not have high blood pressure or high colesterol.  I am 61 yrs. and although my Mother didn't have gallstone problems, my Grandmother, Aunt and female cousin all did.
I do not see my Oncologist until June for a checkup and hope there is a simple solution to this persistant problem.
Please help.

Thanks CalGal,

From the MRI the white objects seemed to be just floating around the base of the liver not in the bile duct.  I certainly don't want any further surgery and when the Onc. noticed the comments, she made no mention of them.
I was hoping there may be a fix via diet.

Sara, I assume the stones they're seeing are located within the common bile duct? If that is what is going on, the only way to remove them will probably be via and ERCP, but your doc may want to do an MRCP first to find out what your common bile duct currently looks like and where the stones are located.

An ERCP is not considered an easy procedure and it should be undertaken knowing all the pro's and con's. If that's what you and the doctor decide to do, ask them to find out what form of stone you're producing. If it's a cholesterol-based stone, you may have to carefully monitor your diet and perhaps look to some form of medication.

People can form stones after gallbladder surgery unfortunately.
