Embarrassing but ah well....

Okay... well I will tell it how it is... and somebody please just give me an insight as to what it could be. In June or July... I have one case of Diarreah... and thats weird for me! I never get it.... so just thought thats weird and moved on... It happened again in august... Just once in the whole month... then in september and october... I was getting it much more often... at one point 4 days in a row.... but that was just once... and at other times once a weekend?? :/ it reallly worried me.... It wasnt really watery, it was more loose, and i could hold it in... but had that feeling where I really really needed to go... I sometimes have mucus in it too. I guess I shoudl also point out... this normally only happened in the evening... and one time i remember drinking a milkshake before... so thought lactose intolerance??? but that was just once?? so i assumed not :/ im only 18 and its really really worried me!

scenario now is... its completely stopped and has been this way since about november the 12th?? Although my stool sometimes is a yellowish colour... sometimes hard... sometimes soft... Whats happening???

Many thanks.. and sorry for being so graphic!

Oh sorry, I didn't read your previous post where you said you were getting mucus every time.  That does sound like a mild case of IBS actually.

I do not believe this is IBS or celiac.  It doesn't qualify for a diagnosis of IBS because it hasn't happened enough times.  It is not celiac because your symptoms were in isolated cases which is not typical of celiac.

You should prolly go see a Gastro doctor. When this happend to me, I went to the doctor, and they said I have IBS. It could also be Celiac. You should really see a doctor!

Hello,

I would agree with Jay I wouldent worry just yet. If it carrys on go and see your GP thats what there there for! It can be caused by so many things and some really minor things that can be sorted out easily.
My advice is if it happens again just go and see your gp.....
dont be embaressed its there job there completly used to it to them its just part of the human anatomy they see it differently to us.

Hope this helps

Welcome to the gastroenterology community!  It might just be that you had a series of bad luck with getting the stomach flu/food poisoning.  When it happens I would recommend eating a BRAT diet (bananas, rice, applesauce, and toast).  If it keeps on reoccurring then I would recommend seeing a doctor, but I don't think there is much for you to worry about right now.
