Endoscopy results

Hello all,

I have just had an endoscopy. I dont have an appointment until end of the month. I have no idea what this all means and I am a bit tense as I dont know what any of this means:
- Normal esophagus. Cardias located 37 cm from dental arch, hypotonic. Irregular z line.

- Fundus and gastric body present normal folds. Irregular and erythematous mucosa.
Biopsy taken.

- Slightly irregular and erythematous mucosa in antrum. Biopsy taken. Normal pylorus, bulb and second part of duodenum.

Summary:

Hypotonic cardias and irregular z line. Possible chronic gastritis.

I has this test due to epigastric pain after eating. I would really appreaciate some insight about what this all means. All this "irregular" have me worried.

Thank you in advance.

Hi.  Well, I think they are trying to tell you that you have possible chronic gastritis.  :>))  Your findings sound like that is their conclusion so they will likely treat for that.
