Fructose Intolerence?

hi for the last 6 weeks i've had stool problems. and i'd like to think its got much better now. this week i had a normal sausage shaped stool... which i haven't had in weeks this was between 2days which is usually every time i have bowel movement. but since i got sick its been everyday soo it seems to have got better. i even had chips and fried stuff and ended up fine =) but still i have problems. on Thursday i had heaps of jellybeans with fruit puree and fruit juices in them and the next day i had diarrhea even though id been fine for around 5days. i had the watery stool from the jellybeans on friday morning and later that day went to a really fancy restaurant as a farewell for a friend and there i had mascarpone cheese covered in cocoa for dessert. this is where it gets interesting to my suprise this morning i didn't have diarrhea even though i had dairy the day before! is this just luck? at the moment my lower intestines kind of gurgling though, no pain though. Could this mean fructose intolerence? I'm fine with dairy but not with fructose? theres gotta be something going on. By the way i had a stool sample a week ago tests came back 100% normal soo it isn't a parasite or IBS. do stool tests detect fructose intolerence though? thanks

Dietary fructose intolerance, or fructose malabsorption, how it tends to be called nowadays, can be tested by hydrogen breath test with fructose.

You can diagnose yourself with a strict low fructose (not necessary fructose-free) diet trial. Exclude all this from the diet for 2 days:
1. Fructose: honey, all fruit and fruit products of any kind, honey, anything containing "high fructose corn syrup", or "fruit syrup". From vegetables, avoid tomatoes and carrots. Also limit amount of table sugar which contains fructose.
2. Sorbitol: this is a sweetener, found in "sugar free" chewing gum and "low-calorie" foods or drinks
3. Fructans: these are fructose containing molecules found in wheat, onions, artichokes, leeks and asparagus, also in chicory.

If you have fructose malabsorption, symptoms should go away in 2 days. After that you can re-introduce wheat, since only some persons with fr.mal. are actually intolerant to it. If this helps, it is recommended to stick with this diet for 4-8 weeks, then you can slowly reintroduce some foods back. For more read about fructose malabsorption in my journals.
