Thanks for the response. Sorry to hear about all your problems. I had a cystoscopy and endoscopy done just prior to my gallbladder removal and outside of a very small Hiatal hernia, they did not see anything of concern. Late Friday afternoon, I had an MRCP test hoping to and will not get the results till sometime on Monday. Everyone I know that has had their gallbladder removed, returned to a normal life style immediately afterwards. From what I read online, the biggest cause for my issue is either the ducts are being block by a stone or constriction. In any case I read that most who try to repair this issue by removal of stone or opening the ducts with stents or cutting have a sad outcome. My big issue is with the fact that the doctor did not find any stones in my gallbladder following the removal however, the sona-scan I had done prior to the removal showed I had at least one stone. Where did the stone go?????????? Every evening now, I feel like I am playing Russian roulette with the meal I “carefully” choose to eat.
I too had pains post gall bladder removal. However mine was full of stones and "sludge", they later did another scope to be sure no stone was left in a duct.. but found nothing. I continue to have this pain on and off since 1993, and the doc had the nerve to tell my ex, I just did not know how to burp. , and am currently being treated for such by another Gastro doctor, but in a recent Scope, found I have a bleeding ulcer and had 2 precancerous polyps from the colonoscopy, but those had nothing to do with the pain.. but the stomach may be your culprit .. Have it checked out.
Since my colonoscopy, I have been either sick to my stomach throwing up, or have diarerrah so bad, then I take something for that, and then have so much pain from being backed up. When it finally passes, its as big as my pinky. But they also found I have inflammation of the stomach, esophagus and colon. so more testing.
But I would definately have them do a scope down your throat and look at your stomach.
