Gallbladder problem

I have been having pain in my right side, particularly after eating and especially the night after drinking alcohol. I went to the dr and he tested my blood and my bile levels were elevated. I was then sent to a gatroenterologist who sent me for a Kinevac Hida Scan. My results came back at 50% which means a healthy flow of bile yet I still have a nagging pain in my right side. The gastroenterologist wants me to go back for an ERCP on the 2nd of December. I am wondeing if this is necessary given the results of the Kinevac Hida Scan. Has anyone experienced any similar problems? I am reluctant to have my gallbladder removed unless it is absolutely necessary. Is it possible to have a diseased gallbladder and still have OK results from the Kinevac Hida Scan?

Anyones input would be greatly apprecaited.

Thanks
