Hope the surgery went smoothly and you're now on the mend.
I am on my way to surgery this morning. At my medical clearance Dr found UTI in my urine, otherwise everything was fine.
Today was my follow up with my GI, my hida scan resulted in no gallbladder visualization after 4 hr which suggests cystic duct obstruction/ acute cholecystitis.
Dr referred me to cholecystectomy/ gallbladder surgeon for consult.
They also ordered blood work to rule out Hepatitis due to high liver enzymes and a breath test to ensure the H Pylori is out of my stomach.

Caryopteris- Thank you for replying to my post. I will follow up w/ status when I see my dr again.
I'm glad the doctor was able to find the sources of your illness so quickly! Be sure you take the antibiotics as prescribed to cure this serious bacteria in your stomach that causes ulcers and terrible discomfort.
You have gallbladder stones also. Nothing unusual about that. Be glad a surgical procedure can put this right for you. I was vomiting for six months before I finally saw a surgeon, who did an ultrasound and found gallstones. He took out my gallbladder and I've had no other problems from that, although I did discover I have Celiac disease.
Everybody goes through health problems, although we don't believe it will be us until it happens. With these diagnoses it is very likely you can be cured if you follow directions AND get a good surgeon. The preferred procedure (laparoscopic cholecystectomy) causes much smaller incisions and is much quicker to heal from than the old incisions that were about 5 inches long.
Try to put your anxiety behind you as it serves no purpose. You have two diagnoses and a clear plan. No cancer has been found, so it's not the end of the world. You can get through it and will be stronger for it.
The radiologist is sending my GI Dr the results on Tue/Wed so I will prob visit him Fri or Mon due to the holiday. I also recall my GI Dr telling me I have elevated liver enzymes.
I am worried because I've never had health issued before...
Joanna, you need to return to your doc and question him about possible problems with your gallbladder. The presence of stones can cause discomfort, and if your gallbladder didn't show up it could suggest that the duct off the common bile duct (cystic duct) that ferries the bile that is concentrated inside the gallbladder to the duodenum might be not functioning properly. That could also cause discomfort.
Go back and ask questions.
