I am 43 and was diagnosed with Gastroparesis in April, 2010 after being sick for a month.  It's been 3 months now since it started and I am still very sick and have lost weight.  Low fat diet, no fiber, liquids...nothing really helps.  I belch excessively all through out the day and I never have an appetite.  I'm finding it very hard to locate a good specialist that knows much about this problem so I'm going to try the Cleveland Clinic or Mayo.  I am afraid to take Reglan because of possible permanent side effects but it seems the doctors are quick to push it.  Please let me know if you get relief and how.  I feel that I'm getting worse instead of better and really desperate for relief.

I have had gastroparesis for over a year. I also have asthma but not severe so I can't relate to the pred. But I'm sorry for the disease because it's the pits. If you have any questions I will try to help. Thanks
