H Pylori proper diagnosis

I've been having stomach issues over the past couple of months.  2 weeks ago the pain was very bad, I noticed very dark stool and called mt PCP right away.  She recommended that I go to an immediate/urgent care ASAP.  The immediate care took an h pylori blood test.  They called me back a few days later and said I tested positive.  He then put me on triple therapy right away.  My question is h pylori something that can come on after only a few months?  Is the anitbody test an accurate way to diagnose h pylori?  I've been taking the triple therapy for a little over a week and still not feeling too much better.

Also what other symptoms are common with h pylori? Fatigue? hives? Insominia?  These are a few symptoms I've has over the past couple months.  Thanks for your time.

Hi,  h pylori infection is known to cause peptic ulcer disease, this in turn can cause bleeding which can present as dark stools. Continue with the therapy, this will help eradicate your symptoms and the ulcer. And the antibody test is a reliable indicator of h pylori infection. Regards.
