Help!

My sister was born with gastroschsis and had a healthy recovery. As me and my sister got older we found out my sister had bigger, worse problems. Now my sister is 22 years old who has to go to the hospital several times because her surgeon but her 25 foot long intestine in with a twist in it. Occasionally she can not go to the bathroom and feels horrible. The first time my sister went she was 15 and I was 5. At that age i didn't know anything bad could happen. When we got there she was checked in and told her whole stomach could shut down in three hours of she did not get help immediately. The rushed into a room and told her she was going to be okay. A few minutes later she has 2 i-ves and a tube down her nose sucking up the food she could not be at out. They told her it was so bad they needed to do surgery to fix the intestine.  She was angry that she waited so long to tell our mom. She never did to surgery and the last time she had this problem was a month before her birth day. If any professional doctor sees this and can tell me how my sister can not have as many problems that would be great and appreciated. Thank you!
