How to regulate my body to normal?

I'm now 20 and since I was probably in middle school, I always though that it was cool and convenient that I miraculously only had to go to the bathroom when i got home, only at home and no matter what time I got home and I never knew that was unhealthy until now...so I theorize that my body may have adjusted to the larger than normal stools. Specifically my intestines and I was curious if after so many years of damage or oddity, can I normalize my digestive tract?
