I smell weird I think from my stomach smell like fart (poo) maybe because the food I eat not digested. I had stool test diagnosed h. pylori I take antiobics for 7 days (Amoxicillin 500mg)  (Clarithromycin 500mg) (Lansoprazole 30mg) I finished two days ago the pain still the same I don't know what happening inside my stomach, my GP said I will have re-test after 3 weeks. I read in the other forum about Biokult probiotics it is good after the course of antibiotics? & Mastika gum & manuka honey? I ordered online Mastika gum & manuka honey.Reese

Hi, I also have H. Pilory here and there, at least once maybe twice a year.I found that eating broccoli and cauliflower helps a lot. These two vegetables have a type of acid in them that kills H. Pilory in about 3-4 week's. The vegetables must be fresh not frozen or in cans. Also, licorice root helped me a lot. Just boil it in water and  then sip on it while hot. It taste a little weird but it helps a lot. At least it did with me.  At least two cups a day.  I have extremely bad acid reflux and I also have ulcers in my stomach. It really *****. My stomach is very sensitive to all kinds of foods. Also, a big thing to stay away from is coffee. I learned the bad way. I hope you think about what I am saying and try it. These are natural remedies you can get at the grocery store. Remember that medicines have acid and different kinds of chemicals in them and may bother your stomach more. Good luck and I hope you feel better.

Good luck Reese28 hope you get feeling better!

(forgot to mention if you're taking pain pills or smoking or drinking or ... eating smarties or something acidic.. yeah that's all bad for the stomach and it'll delay healing..... I'm sure you're not doing that..but yeah.. get fighting the fight!)

but yeah i've heard of people going through several rounds to kill off an ulcer so.. it's rare but it happens so I hope that's all it is, but if the bug is killed off then usually you do nexium or prilosec or some acid reducer medicine - good luck!  (keep us posted!)

Sounds like you have an ulcer in your esophagus.
Ask to have a barium swallow done. This will tell them if you have an ulcer or not.

Hey reese28 - sorry you're going through so much pain and misery..

I'm not an expert but I've heard H. pylori is a tough bug to kill sometimes (basically an ulcer that's what h pylori is and causes a stomach ulcer.. I bet if you eat something acidic you'd have an angry stomach..or after a heavy meal..) and usually they do a triple antibiotic therapy here in the states (which looks like what you are doing..).  You might have had dark tarry stool right?

so there's a decent chance your h pylori is still hanging around and you might need another round of antibiotics (sorry) but a good probiotic is a good idea.  Those antibiotics are pretty powerful and whatever good bacteria/bad bacteria you had in your gut is gone now so it's a good idea to build up good ones with probiotics...but it's probably not a good idea to take probiotics during antibiotic treatment.. only before and after...generally (i'd talk to your doctor about that)

I've never heard of mastika gum and sorts but I've heard organic natural yogurt is a good one or .. align or culterelle they sell here in the states...nothing with heavy sugar/fruit like yoplat but a plain yogurt is a good idea and also probably soothing to your stomach.. easy to digest unless you're lactose intolerant..

anyway I probably didn't help much but sorry you're going through this.  Reflux isn't fun..  :(  make sure you try to sit upright or stay standing after eating.. if you have to lie down..lie on your right side or upright at least 30 min. after eating or else you'll get reflux or heartburn...  if you're stuck waiting for a doctor for a while or test you can try priolosec and avoid acidic foods for a while..

good luck :( hope you kill the bug!
