I can't take this anymore, need professional opinion

Since I was around 12 years old (I am now 22) I have been having a stomach issue.  It happens anything from 1 to over 5 times a month and exactly the following happens: I will be just doing anything, sitting at my desk, just woken up in the morning, after a meal, working in the library, it doesnt matter, all of a sudden i will get a horrible griping pain inside my stomach / intenstines which is so bad it is actually debilitating.

After I get that feeling, I have roughly 1-10 minutes to get to a bathroom, I won't have diarhea, but it is very close, what comes out is very loose.  After this happens I get some relief, but I have to sit on the toilet and wait it out, just having waves of horrific stomach discomfort.  After 30-60 mins i will feel completely fine and will be able to carry on with my day.

I put up with this for 10 years, I let it affect my life and ruin the odd day here and there, but ive had enough.  It ALMOST ruined my graduation this week, and it seems to be happening more and more frequently now, except without the diarhea, and the internal discomfort and nausea lasting longer and longer.

Can I get any medical advice on what the problem could be here? What should my next step be?

Thanks

I would suggest that if you have not been to a Gastroenterologist, you need to  ASAP. It appears that your digestive track is at war, and you need expert help from a medical specialist like a gastroenterologist to diagnose the problems. If you have not already had a colonoscopy or endoscopy where a slender tube with a camera is inserted into your throat so the physician can view your esophagus and stomach to make a diagnoses. It is a real shame your stomach problems were not diagnosed years ago. I would suggest your not trying any of the "colon- wash" products until the exact problem with you stomach is determined. I have had several endoscopic procedures, and I learned that my esophagus was very narrow and I choked-up food all the time. The endoscope also has a device on the tip to spread-open narrow openings within your esophagus. I have not had a problem swallowing in 10 years.

You should see a GI doctor about this if you haven't already.  You should also probably get a colonoscopy.  Have you had any testing done for this?
