I've had rectal bleeding and clots for over a month.

I have a strong family history of CD. When reported bleeding to PCP, told call insurance for GI Dr. Insurance company sent me to ER. ER did CT w/ contrast. Found I have hyperemia of rectal sigmoid colon. I still had to push for Colonoscopy. Still bleeding after 5 days of 50mg prednisone. Preliminary diagnosis proctocolitis. I'm concerned, what is going on?
