I have had mild, intermittent "twinges" just to the right of my left front hip bone for 3 months. It's not very painful, just scary. I tend to notice it more when I am not busy. Saw my GP who said to come back in a few weeks if it didn't stop. Went back. Had a pelvic exam which appeared normal. Ordered a pelvic ultrasound, with results coming back as normal. My doctor now has ordered a pelvic CT scan. I'll certainly have this test if I need it, but am worried (a little) about the radiation. My symptoms are not that physically troubling and I don't know if it's worth the risk. Really, even using the word "pain" for this seems overblown. It is a very mild pinching or twinging that lasts a few seconds. Happens throughout the day and does not seem to correlate with any activity...seems totally random. I am a healthy 45 year old female, 5'4" and about 120 pounds and exercise at least 5 times a week. Other than these twinges, I feel great. If someone told me they were completely benign and I had to live with them the rest of my life, I'd say, "Great! Easily done!" But of course no one can say that and I feel a bit anxious at times about this. Can't seem to really find anyone on the internet with a similar problem...at at least not one with an answer! Did find a post from someone who seemed to be experiencing the EXACT same thing as me, but no answer, and the post as about 9 years ago. No way to get ahold of her. Any thoughts on what this might be?
