Lower Back Pain after eating

Hello! I had a sudden attack of pain in my lower back while at the movie theatre last night. I thought it may have been from sitting with bad posture during the show. Afterward, I had some trouble walking as the pain came in constricting waves, and a few times I felt like I might fall over.

I stayed home from work today, but the pain had subsided. It felt like I had just slept wrong the night before and nothing more. Then, when I ate supper, the same thing happened again. Its hard to explain the pain appropriately, the best I can do is call it a squeezing pain in the lower back causing my whole torso to tense up. Right now it the pain has receded and doesn't hurt, but I can still feel it lingering, as if something is swollen inside of me. I'm read some articles on the web, and from what it seems it may be herniatic or slipped disk, or perhaps a gallbladder problem.

I also found myself perpetually thirsty. I've drank at least a few liters of water today, and am still going. Drinking causes no pain. Some times throughout the day I seemed to have a lack of energy, and did a lot of sleeping.

If anyone has any ideas about what this may mean, I'm very anxious to hear them. Thank you so much for your time!!!

Good luck and thanks for letting us know how you are doing.  If you do get a high fever or if the pain becomes too much for you, please get into the ER.  There's no shame in asking for help when you need it.

I'd be most grateful if you could let us know how you make out with the drugs and how your symptoms are.  You should know in about ten days if it's going to work.

Good luck and Godspeed!

If the dr doesn't call you call him and if this keeps up with no answers.  Ask your dr. if you should see a gatro dr. since they said it was gastritus.
Let us know how it comes out and best of luck.l

Dear Sam,

I went to the hospital today and the doc checked me over and said he believed it was gastritis. He gave me a few pills to take once a day called Prevacid and said I should hear from my family doctor in a few days after testing my urine sample.

Not what I was expecting, but we'll play the waiting game (which is, of course, the most fun when in regards to your health).

Thanks for your help on the matter, and if anything drastically changes, I'll be sure to update the post.

I'm not a Dr. and know nothing about this stuff but the first thing I thought of with lower back pain and extreme thirst is a kidney infection.  My gallbladder problem caused severe lower back pain.  Either way, I would make an appointment with my doctor right away.  If it's a disc, gallbladder or kidney problem, you don't want to wait too long to get looked at.

Could you please let me know how you make out?  I'd like to know that you are okay.

Good luck and Godspeed,

Sam

Sorry,

I forgot to mention that after eating today, I also had mild indigestion in my stomach.
