From what I can see online, C cells are parafollicular cells that are in the thyroid (which is in your throat) that produce and secrete calcitonin.
I wonder if you misheard the doctor and they actually said T cells, which belong to the lymphocyte family (you know how when they run a differential white blood cell count, there are 5 kinds they check?) T cells are key to immunity. It is possible for them to become malignant, which it looks like online is called T cell lymphoma. But if you have been over your cold awhile, if you get rechecked, you may be blessed to find out they are normal, if that's what he was talking about.
I believe that the doctor did take some.. I thought thats what he meant by C-Cell abnormality.
Have you had any blood tests for cancer markers?
Sorry my appendix has been removed about 20 years ago.. I ment to tell you that.. But i forgot. What about the big C??? what do you guys feel about that. Do you also agree that if it were that after 1 year it would have spred to other organs ect?
If they rule out appendicitis, you might consider a chronic musculoskeletal problem, since it is aggravated with bending over or walking. You might consider going to a physical medicine doctor, who can prescribe anti-inflammatories cyclic for a short while to see if the inflammation could be knocked down & also can prescribe physical therapy to try to strengthen the area.
there's a possibility it could be appendix related. My ex husband had the same thing that would come and go for a couple of years and then it became a constant pain that started to intensify. He finally gave up and went to the ER and was diagnosed with appendicitis - his appendix actually ended up bursting as they were removing it.
Before that happened, I had no idea you could have what is considered "chronic" appendicitis, but his doctors said yes, it's actually more common than you would think. If the cause of the inflammation of the appendix is a particle of food or something that is blocking it, of course it will cause pain while it's blocked, but sometimes that blockage can be released so then you get the pain relief. Most of the time, however, chronic appendicitis will, at some point, become accute appendicitis and will require surgery.
I would ask your doctor to check you for appendicitis- have an ultrasound, blood work, x-rays, whatever is needed to rule this out - the last thing you want is to end up having to have emergency surgery and/or your appendix bursting.
Best of luck!
