Lump lowef left abdomen

Recently I found what I thought to be a lump on the lower left side of my abdomen. It didn't really feel like a bump, but more like hard tissue.
I went to my PCD and upon examination I was told that was just muscle. I believe she told me *rectum muscle* or something similar. The PCD said I didn't need to be concerned.
But of course I am. The issue is that this hard tissue I feel only on the left side. Is it really something not to worry about?

Thank you!

Muscle 'Rectus abdominis' is a vertical muscle in the middle of abdomen.

You should lie down, when you're examining yourself, so muscles are relaxed. Ask a family member for 2nd opinion :) .

Thank you for your reply. That's exactly what I did. I lay down and on the floor and pressed. One needs to press relatively hard. I also asked another member of the family who didn't feel anything wrong, same as my doctor.

Thank you
