Nausea every day for 6 weeks! Not Pregnant

I went on holiday to Ibiza at the end of august and when i came back i was home for a week then all the symptoms started, Loss of apetite, No eneregy, Nausea, Vomiting, Diorreah. At first when i was ill i was bad for the whole day until the night time where i felt better and could eat, but then as soon i woke back up the next day i was stright in the toilet dry heaving or actually been sick, when i was been sick it was only acid as i had nothing in my stomach to come up.
After been to the doctors about 6 times, at first they said i had Gastereonitis, then they said i had IBS, then when i went the last time the doctor gave me some tablets to stop the acid in my stomach, after taking these tablets for a day i felt soo much ebtter and was fine for 2 weeks maybe only feeling a little bit nausea twice a week.
I then took thses tablets for 2 weeks and after the 2 weeks i have started to feel ill again, this is only on a morning thought until around 1pm when i start to feel better again. If i eat it makes me feel a bit better but i dont have an apetitie until after lunch.
Ive had sever blood test taken and a water and stool sample and all came back negative. I realy want to get better now as its starting to get me down waking up every day feeling sick.

I'm not sure what the chemist could give you but if you describe your symptoms they may have something. Also, if you live near China Town or a Chinese medical supplier, you could ask for "Xiang Sha Yan Wei Wan" pills (little black/purple round pills that look like ball bearings) or "Po Chai" pills (very small little round red pills) - both are good for all sorts of stomach complaints and may help until you get to see your doctor.

As for me, I had Giardia for about 6 months on and off. It came on very strong both my girlfriend and I got hit at the same time and had to cancel a dinner engagement while on the train into town and jump back onto a train going back to the hotel we were staying at. She got rid of it pretty quickly but it stuck around for me. Nasty bug.

All the best

Thanks i will see my doctor to check for that, ive took in 1 stool sample but ive read about it and it says you may need to take in several for Giardiasis to be found.

Is there anything else you suggest i take until i get in to see my doctor? Like anything i can get from the chemist??

How long did you have it for?

Thanks for your help.

Hi

It sounds like you've picked up some sort of parasite, assuming the symptoms started in or immediately after returning from Ibiza.

You may want to get checked for severe giardiasis. While that usually affects your bowels, it can cause nausea and acid reflux like symptoms. I had it once with nausea and diarrhea and it took three courses of antibiotics to get rid of!

Did you mention your holiday to the doctors?  Did they think you might have picked up an amoeba or something from the foreign country?

Has your doctor checked you for being pregnant?  All your symptoms indicate that you are.  You're describing morning sickness that accompanies pregnancy, along with being tired.
