No Doctor Can Answer...

My mom has been to the doctor repeatedly for about 6 months now and they can't find an answer.  It started when she woke up one morning vomiting.  It got worse throughout the day.  No fever, but she was sweating like crazy.  Clammy.  Couldn't eat without getting sick or drink either.  Went to ER, long story short, they took out her Gallbladder.  Got sick again...same way.  Back to doctor.  Said she started eating solids too fast after surgery.  Sick again.  Back to doctor.  This time they sent her to a gastrologist and, thanks to my pushing after a little research, a cardiologist.  Gastrologist has tried IBS, Digestive meds, and so on.  Cardiologist found that her heart had a blockage, so they did triple bypass, and everyone thought all was well.  They checked her neck for blockage too, but that was fine.  2 or 3 months pass and she's on blood pressure meds, asprin, some nausea med (not Phenagrin * I can't spell*), and I think IBS meds still.  All was fine until recently.  Sick again.  Went back to doctor today and they checked for fat deposits in her blood.  Nope.  Now there's a test set up for a catscan to check for a tumor next week.  However, when I researched brain tumors a minute ago, she doesn't really have any other symptom except for the nausea and vomiting.  I don't think her personality has changed since I was a kid!  And she hasn't been complaining about headaches.  She's 42 in November, a smoker since she was 12.  Any ideas?  We REALLY need the help!

Could be where they took the gallbladder out, that a related duct got stopped up with a stone or other problem, and that may be why she keeps throwing up.  The scan is probably for her abdomen, to see what's going on in there, altho they may do one for her whole body, since she had the missed arterial problem for who knows how long, so could be they are indeed checking to see if bloodflow in the brain is doing okay.  But what came to me was a problem similar to the gallbladder thing.  I know how worried you are, when health goes to pieces, it's pretty scary.  But it sounds like she has good docs working with her now.

Go into Forums, on the left side is Ak a Doctor. It will cost anywhere from $10-$25. But is worth it to get answers.
