Hello, thanks for reply.
What is an esophageal motility test?
You are correct, the food gets stuck just before arriving at the stomach.
Then the problems start with the breathing.
In fact he cannot eat on his own, as it would be fatal.
Thank you.
If his esophagus has been checked and found not to have strictures or narrowing, it's possible he could be having esophageal motility problems. Have you consided asking to have an esophageal motility test done? That's if the food seems to be getthing past the throat area and into the esophagus, itself.
If the food is sticking in his throat, you may want to check about having a specialized swallowing study done. It will show whether or not there's a lack of co-ordination going on between the mouth and the pharyngx.
