When i google this it comes up with 'intussusception is rarely seen in adults and is generally associated with tumours and cancer???!!!' This hasd really scared me and surgeon not really clear about things and im going in for surgery in few weeks time,he said i need this asap!!

Please help me understand what is going on,if you can!!

Hello Sickboy1.

Thankyou for the reply. I had cin3 severe smear result back in Feb this year. Had LLETZ treatment under GA to remove a clear margin of cells. The doctor said they had a clear margine but would of liked it bigger. Got to go back in September for another colposcopy to see if the cin3 has come back. I know exactly what your wife went through!!! All this stuff about cancer i have had this year and now it returns again but in a different form!!! Scares me that i had 1 scare now got another!!!

Can it all be connected???

Melanie

They probably won't know until they start the surgery Mel but they obviously suspect there is a possibility of something not good or they would not be performing surgery, the way to look at this is, you always knew you were ill, now you are going to get the surgery you require to sort the problem, this means you are moving forward, there are certain conditions which need treating before anything sinister starts to form, the Surgeon did not say you had "Cancer" so take this at face value, looks like you are going to get preemptive surgery, i would look at this as good rather than bad.
I know this is can be very worrying and the surgeon should have put your mind at rest, they do not realise the effect things like this can have on people.
My wife showed a precancerous condition on a smear, i saw how much stress and worry it caused her, the next smear came out all clear.
So rest well and i hope all goes well for you.I know it is easy to say do not worry, so instead try to do things to take your mind off it, my heart goes out to you, I'm sure everything will be ok.
If I were in your shoes I would book in to see my GP for a talk, they may put your mind at rest.

Stay Healthy xx
