Pain on the right side of abdomen

Someone, please help me.

I have a slight sharp pain only when pressed at a moderate level at the right most side of my abdomen just immediately above the hip bone and far below the end bone of rib-cage. That area, when pressed, seems to feel slightly harder compared to the corresponding left side of the abdomen. When at normal rest or walking or running or jumping, I do not experience any pain at all. My bowel habits and pattern have also been consistently normal. I have my appendix taken out 9 years ago through laparoscopy. I also do not have any other unusual signs or symptoms.

This happened only a week ago. Please advise. Thank you very much.

Abdomina pain is a very broad subject- with no additional symptoms and normal bowel patterns, sounds like a muscle sprain/cramp/tear. I would keep an eye on it and if you start developing symptoms such as nasuea, vommiting, fever, or changes in bowel habits, I would make an appointment with you doctor

Thank you very much.

And also, these slight hardness and pain can be felt with my fingers even more when I lie down completely flat on the bed or floor. The pain is a bit sharp and it seems to source from the ascending colon.
