Pelvic pain

Good day- Please help- im at my wits end.  Im a 37 yr old female with right sided abdominal pain for the last 7 years. it is in my waist and refers down into my groin ; pubic area and when its really bad into my leg. I have had several lap scopes for queried "female" problems- from ovarian cysts to endometriosis- they are all clear. I have had my appendix out many years ago. I have had abdominal CT scan and that showed a hiatus hernia but nothing else. I had MRI's and full abdominal sonar and that is clear.  The colonoscopy is clear as well. The following tests always have the same results on each admission to hospital: Leucrocycts in my urine with no infection; significantly increased LFT's and the abdominal x ray shows feacal over loading- but i have no signs of constipation at all (i have regular bowel habits) Can all of these be connected to explain the pain? I just dont know where to turn any more.

One cause of lower abdominal pain that radiates down to the groin and leg are kidney stones in the ureter or some other disorder that causes spasms in the ureter. Certain liver disorders (hepatitis) are associated with ureteral stones.

Hi there!

Well, without a detailed clinical evaluation it would be difficult to determine the cause of your symptoms. Possible causes that may need to be considered include GI/ GU infections/ inflammations, growths/ masses such as renal calculi, neuro-muscular causes, vascular causes etc. Increased leucocytes in urine and fecal overloading could be responsible for the symptoms as well. I would suggest considering a detailed evaluation by an internist initially and depending on the cause diagnosed/ suspected, it can be managed accordingly or specialist care may be sought.
