Possible Complications from Gall Bladder Removal Surgery

I recently had my gall bladder removed (laproscopic).  The surgery took place on Oct. 20, 2008.  I did fine after surgery.  However, approx. Dec. 1, 2008, I started experiencing discomfort.  It progressively got worse throughout the month.  Now, all I do is vomit and diarrhea EVERYTIME I eat.  I have been to the ER where they discovered that I was very dehydrated and they administered two bags of fluids and high powered antibiotics. They thought I may be suffering from the stomach flu, but I'd been sick for almost two weeks.  The next day, I was still extremely ill.  None of the medicine that was given to me at the ER helped.  Therefore, I went to a local clinic.  I was still dehydrated, and they gave me two more bags of fluid and sent me home with meds.  I am currently taking Doxycycl (100 mg), Phenegran (25 mg), and Lomotil (2.5 mg).  None of these have even phased my sickness.  I cannot keep anything down that I eat.  I have bowel movements that are green and yellow bile with a consistancy of oil and water.  My mouth tastes like copper.  I know this isn't the stomach flu.  I think I am having complications from my surgery.  Is this possible?  If so, what could be wrong?  What can I do?

Thanks for the information.  At this point, any info is very helpful.  To answer your question, I am having some pain, but it's the CONSTANT sickness (nausea and diarrhea) that keeps me in misery.  I will check into what you told me.  Thanks again for the help.  It is much appreciated.

Are you have severe pain anywhere?  I had lapro in April and 4 days later returned with pain where I could not walk.  I stayed for several days and they said it was severe gas from the surgery.  One week later I returned with more pain and diarrhea and had another HIDA scan and ultrasound and they found a bile leak.  They had to put a stent in the bile duct and after 6 weeks they removed it and i was fine.  I have been told by many people and from reading this site thought that if you eat fatty, fried, rich consistency food that you will immediately have diarrhea or vomit.  You could also have spincter of oddi, which is a little muscle around the area that spasm and has to be either cut or removed.  I learned all of this through my injury.  Main thing is you need to call your GI or surgeon.  The ER is only concerned with getting your levels up and sending you on your way.  Each time before we went to the ER my husband called both my doctors and they or their on call partner met us there to request testing.  Good luck
