Punctate nodule in liver

I dad a CT scan done on Thursday and have received the results of I have a small punctate nodule of 2 mm in the lateral aspect of the right lobe of the liver.  I was wondering what does that mean?  They also said there is apparent wall thickening in the rectum and proximal sigmoid, wondering what all of this means.  Can anyone help answer these questions.

Thank you
