Anyone out there have RSD/CRPS? What treatments/meds have you had that were helpful?

I haven't but my husband has RSD. He had it in his right foot and leg after falling off a ladder he was misdiagnosed for weeks and we finaly found a doctor who knew what it was, he had an injection called guanethidine in his foot and within a few days we could see the changes and hes never looked back since. All the pain and symptoms have gone.

I was diagnosed with CRPS after a dental procedure. I wasn't able to open my mouth and I typical CRPS symptoms, though not severe. Oh, also had an oral surgen do an unecasary procedure for an out of place disc (that wasn't out of place) that made it worse. I found a specialist who was VERY thorough and diagnosed the CRPS. I used a low dose of Lyrica for maybe a week or two and it was gone.

Previously, I had CRPS symptoms after arm and foot injuries that were never diagnosed as such and docters did not know howt to treat. I wish I had had Lyrica 15 years ago when I suffered with severe arm pain for over two years.

I was diagnosed with CRPS in september 09. I have had the symptoms since March 09. I am taking Lyrica (Pregabalin). and Cesamet. They seem to be working more or less. Sometimes I top off the the pain medication by vaporizing bud. Lyrica is used in the Treatment of neuropathic pain in adults. Cesamet is synthetic THC. It's a nasty thing to have. I believe that the problem is the pain. Kill the pain as much as possible so you can do physio and keep moving. The worse time for me is the morning and then very late at night.
