Random but SEVERE stomach pain

Hello,

For about the passed 18 months I have been getting random stomach pain attacks that wake me up in the middle of the night. Once awake I have what seams like trapped air, once I can burp it up (sorry to sound rude)  my pain gets better. My doc said to try Zantec for this but this seams to still take an hour to help with my pain. I havnt been able to pin down any specific food/drink but did have a greasey burger for lunch, perhaps that caused it tonight? It has been and is VERY misserable so any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thx!
