Rectal pressure

I'm not sure that my problem has to do with the colon or not, but I have been experiencing a lot of pressure from
my rectum whenever I sit down. I have to stand to get some relief. I have also been having some changes in my
bowel movements. My stools are loose and are narrow. I will be scheduled for a colonoscopy but I would like to knw
if these symptoms are associated with colon cancer. Thank you.

I am a 46 year old female and I am experiencing the same symptoms - rectal pressure - not too bad, stomach aches every other day and intermittent pain in my upper right side.  I had diarrhea last week and now my stool is thin (not quite pencil thin), but is brown, not black and I have not seen any blood. I'm going to see my GI doctor this Friday and I'm sure he's going to recommend a colonoscopy.  I'm not afraid of the test - just the diagnosis.  I'm terrified that it is colon cancer - late stage - because I am having symptoms.  I have read that early stages have no pain or symptoms.  Can't even think about anything else.  The nurse at the GI's office told me that since I was under 50 and there was no bloody or black stool that I should be okay.   Can anybody help me feel better?

I am 69 years old and there is no history of colon cancer in my family that I know of. I have not noticed any red tinge in my stools.

hi, this is one sign of colon cancer but there are other less serious disorders which have this symptom too. anal fissure, benign polyps, diverticulosis, and herrmoroids, colon cancer is rare under 50 years of age, also if this is the only symptom your having then hopefully you should be ok, how old are you and do you notice any red tinge in your stools?
