Right upper quadrant pain

I am a 46 yr old female with right upper quadrant pain for the past 7 months.  Prior to that, I experienced the pain on a rare occasion beginning about a year and a half ago.  They have checked my liver enzymes 3-4 times and each time it came back normal.  Once, two years ago, when they ran blood work for something else, my liver enzymes were elevated but when rechecked a week later, they were fine.  I have lost about 40 pounds in the past 7 months, am extremely fatigued, have constant pain in my side (under my ribs; and have no gall bladder).  I have been having a lot of diarrhea, nause, hair loss and most recently, some confusion.  I had a colonoscopy as well as an endoscopy in May of this year, all tests were normal.  I take vicodin for the pain, but that doesn't work.  I was told by a doctor that "something is brewing in the liver" yet they can't seem to figure this out.  What tests would you recommend and could it be possible that it isn't my liver at all?

No, no answers.  I just had a cat scan done last Thursday, it was normal. My pain is on my upper left abdomen and left side of back. I am going to the Mayo Clinic this Thursday.  I am so sick and tired of all of these tests!!!!!

Thanks for your comment. I was actually just trying to figure out how to edit my post because I realized I had left out the fact that I did have a CT scan which came back normal as well as an Ultrasound, also normal.  They have talked about a liver biopsy and also an ERCP.  I am assuming you still dont have any answers??

I see that you have had a colonoscopy and endoscopy.  Have they done an ultrasound at all?  That would seem like the likely first step.  I have had upper abdomen pain for a year now and that's the first test that they did.  Plus I have had two cat scans, an MRI and an MRCP, all normal.
