Hi boron,
This is stressful usually all of the medication that I am currently taking causes constipation and I sure do't want to add another to the list.
In regards to my age... I am 24
My opinion about using buscopan in your case: it may mask your problems and it may aggravate your constipation.
How old are you?
Thanks so much for the feedback. I have actually never had an enema considering all the facts I think it be a good idea to have one.
It has been a good 2 days since I had a pain episode. I have hold back on a lot of food because I am afraid of the pain and having to go to the hospital. My GI dr. said that I might suffer from something called "non ulcerative dyspepsia" don't know much about it but was very unhappy when she briefly explained to me what it was. Eventually the pain will always come back.
Are you familiar with a medication called "Buscapina Compositum?" they don't use it here in the U.S because of its side effects. It is used specifically to treat gastrointestinal pain and colic. Don't know if it would be safe to use. What would be your thoughts on that?
.
Constipation can be a cause of upper middle and left side pain. When stool stays in the colon, bacteria break it down and produce gas. Gas sticks in the horisontal part of the colon, mostly on the left side. Try to empty your colon, ask for enema if nothing other won't help. Try to trigger bowel movement with drinking warm appricote or prune juice but don't exaggerate with the amount since it can cause terrible bloating.
Slow stomach emptying is also possible though.
The pain starts in upper mid stomach area then spreads throughout the left side. I had x-rays and ultrasounds which showed a lot of stool. I don't think this is causing my pain because I have been pretty normal in that area although I sometimes I suffer from constipation. My dr. ordered a "stomach emptying scan" hopefully this will determine the cause of my pain.
Where excactly do you feel the pain? Below the right ribs?
