Severe burning, pulling pain in lower abdomen

Not sure if I am posting in the right forum.  I have had two c-sections and two additional surgeries through the same incision. After I eat certain foods, or every couple of months, I get a severe, burning pain that extends from my belly button through the right side of my abdomen.  It feels like someone is stabbing me with a sharp knife and twisting. There is also a large knot when pressing around on the abdomen that is extremely painful if pushed on. I have been going to the doctor for the past almost 12 years with complaints of this pain and was told that it could just be from adhesions from surgery and scar tissue. Since then the only thing that doctors seem to do for me is send me home with a bottle of pain medication.  I dislike the way hydrocodone makes me feel but sometimes the pain is so severe that I have no choice but to take one. After having an MRI it revealed that there is damage to the muscle on the stomach wall on the right side (it appears thinner then the left side and has quite a bit of scar tissue).

Is there any help for this and why does it affect me more after eating certain foods?  It hurts to sit up, cough, sneeze, laugh, sometimes walk or even use the bathroom.  Please give me some ideas.  I'm tired of taking hydrocodone every time it hurts and I'm afraid that the long-term use of pain medication is bad on my system.

Last Night I ate chicken strips and fries and this morning I wake up with severe pain. It feels like it radiates from my belly button and it hurts to even barely touch my stomach.
Any ideas?

I forgot to add that if your problem is the result of the surgeon(s) negligence, this will also make them not refer you another one.

Have you see a Gastroenterologist for this?  This would be my next step, you're not getting anywhere with your OB-GYN and you don't want to get addicted to pain meds. This will give you a second opinion and determine what can be done for the scar tissue and guide you in the right direction.  Often if doctors don't know what the next step is, instead of referring you to someone who may....they just put a bandaid on the problem and let you suffer.  Get other opinions, it makes a HUGE difference and I learned this the hard way.  Best wishes and take care.
