Severe pain in upper left quadrant
My 12 year old daughter just had a bout with severe stabbing pain in her upper left quadrant this past Saturday. The pain was so intense, she felt like she couldn't breath and her chest hurt. No other symptoms. Blood, urine and CT scan all came back clear. The only thing they could say was that she had some stool and she was constipated. She has at least 2-3 movements a day, everyday.

Possibilities that may need to be considered include GI infections, inflammations, GERD, ulcers, chest wall inflammation, costochondritis, causes related to the respiratory tract, pleuritis etc. I would suggest discussing the situation and the management plan with her treating pediatrician.
