Sludge?

Does anyone know what causes sludge in the gallbladder?

Prior to my onset of gallbladder issues, I did have slightly higher levels of cholesterol (212).  Now I have lost weight (-15 lbs) and lowered my cholesterol (166), my symptoms are improving but still persists.

Since no one can tell me if I have small stones / sludge in my gallbladder, I will try to get it out myself by having a 3rd liver/gb flush.  I figured that's better than eating fatty greasy foods =].

No one yet knows why it develops. Some theorize that it could be the level of cholesterol in the blood, dieting/or too quick a weight loss, hormones, the impact of drugs, prolonged states of dehydration, etc.
