bad cough after an endoscopy

i had an endoscopy last week, my throat was a little sore afterwards but nothing too noticeable. for a few days after i felt fine just a tickle in my throat, the tickly quickly became a bad cough. for 3 days i felt exhaused and slept a lot, the exhaustion seems to have passed but the coughing has not. my throat does not feel sore until i cough, and very little mucus is coming up. ive tried everything from neo citron, nyquit, robitusson, buckleys, halls, cepacl, teas, honey, all these have either no effect of very short relief.
is it possible i got some sort of infection? and should i wait longer or see a doctor now?

I had an endoscopy two days ago and I have been coughing ever since...a tickle in my throat.  Also a feeling of pressure in my head and throat...like gas.  I belch and it is relieved, but only temporarily.

I too have a chronic cough after I had an endoscopy with biopsy and dialation, and I feel nauseous during the day right before lunch now. Everything is doing well now except i can't shake the cough, I have prescription cough syrup and take musinex, I suck on cough drops all day and drink gallons of water it seems like to no avail. I too wonder about the procedure and the chronic cough.

I would say yes, it is possible that you have an infection - especially since you say you had exhaustion and are coughing up some mucous (even though it's only a little).  It could be you were fighting something before the endoscopy.  Do you have any fever?  Even without a fever, it still could be an infection - sometimes when I get bronchitis I have no fever.  I would suggest contacting your doctor and asking what he/she suggests you try taking and possibly requesting a chest x-ray and throat culture.

I hope you feel better soon.
