Terrible Gull Bladder area Pain

Hello People,
Hoping for an answer, gastroenterologist can't seem to figure it out.
Stated about 6 months ago, upper right quadrant of abdomen( directly under my last rib) terrible pain. Hurts to touch, hurts to not touch it..breath taking intense pain. Feels like a knife wound. happens a few nights in a row after 4-5 hours of sleep. Will last for 2-5 hours and radiates through my mid to lower back.  Have changed my diet multiple times, no junk, no meat, low gluten, no spicy.. nothing seems to trigger it. I usually take a large dose of tylenol and sit up for hours till it subsides. It actually feels like something sharp is stuck in my intestine.  Doctor did multiple tests, scopes, ultrasounds and blood work.. Nothing out of the ordinary.. All signs point to Gall bladder but doc says it checks out fine. Please Help

I went into the hospital with the same initial symptoms as you. Had CAT scan, MRI, xrays, and ultrasound. I was convinced it was my gallbladder. They couldn't figure it out until they did a hepatitis panel and found out it was Hepatitis A. Which gives you upper right quadrant pain. My liver was only slightly enlarged but nothing that stood out to them. My gallbladder was not enlarged but contracted even when I fasted. They told me the pain would pass in a few weeks. That was over a month ago. Just had EGD today and biopsy. I know exactly how you feel with the sharp pains. It's especially worse for me at night.

just be wary of all the dairy in other things. Its not just straight milk and cheese. So many other things have dairy in it; cookies, salad dressing, smoothies, etc.

I standardIy do not have much dairy, not much of a milk drinker and very rarely eat cheese.
have no trouble with bowel movements, other than the fact that its regularly loose and often. Have not had an MRI as of yet.. I will ask Doc. about it ..thanks

have you tried no dairy? Are you constipated at all? Might need to try to get an mri done. I had clean ultrasound, endoscopy, and colonoscopy. but then they did an mri and found my intestines were inflamed. Not that im saying thats what you have going, just saying that you have to keep running other tests til they figure out the problem. so mri, cat scan, comprehensive stool study.
