Three weeks of Diarhea

I have been experiencing yellow nearly all liquid diarrhea for almost three weeks now.  I had renal blood work done that came back within normal parameters and have yet to get my stool results back from the lab.  My Dr. put me on Levaquin and atropine which i have been taking for 4 days with no improvement in my symptoms. I am now experiencing pain in my lower left abdomen.  I aa also losing weight.  What tests should I be asking for at this point?  Thank you in advance for any information that you may offer.

Hi all, just wanted to toss out info regarding testing for C Diff.  Tests performed are known to come back often as "false negatives", especially if taking anitbiotics at the time the test is performed.  Test should be done at least two days in a row, and preferrably 10-14 days after last med taken if possible.  Toxins break down at room temp, so try and transport immediately to lab - on ice and in a sterile collection cup - if your doc decides to run more tests.  It took me weeks of misdiagnosis to finally get a positive test result.

Did your doctor tell you that it was a bad stomach virus? I have been having bright yellow almost all liquid stool for three days with excessives stomach gurgling and gas. I just returned from a three week trip and thought that I may have picked up a bug, but my husband who was with me is fine. I would appreciate any information or comments you might have. Thanks.

I have been having the same problem.  So far my only stool test that came back was the c-diff and it was negative.  Still waiting on 2 more results.

I wouldnt go on the levaquin.. esp with diarrhea already.  Im treating mine with immodium and bentyl. But after a day I have normal stools then the blow out happens again.

All i'm getting is theres a bad stomach virus going around that doesnt want to go around so I guess thats what I have.   Hope yours goes away soon.. its been 2 weeks for me :(
