Well, in that area it could be a couple of different things. One thing that is common is that there are twists in the colon that can cause pain due to trapped gas, etc. Where your describing is one of the areas, so it could be general IBS.
I doubt its muscular, as it should have healed by now. Could be gallbladder issues, w/out having stones. Its in a troublesome spot that could be different things. Your friend, I assume it was colon cancer? CT Scans will not always detect everything, thats why they recommend a colonoscopy. As long as youve had the pain, if it were colon cancer, you probably would not be alive right now. Pain in colon cancer usually comes late in the stages.
To get a piece of mind, I would recommend getting a colonoscopy done by your GI and that should negate any GI issues.
Sounds like Diffused esophageal spasms. Ask your doctor about having a motility tests done. I recommend a Esophageal Manometry
Well I thank you for your reply. I am goi g back to the new dr in two weeks. I will ask her about the tests mentioned. I plan on asking for the colonoscopy for sure. I thought maybe muscular because of holding my child on that side. After my last appointment with the first gastroentologist I went to a nuerologist becuase he thought maybe fibromyalgia but she said no and I had a MRI of my neck and brain and all that was found was bulging disks. I have to start therapy for them but I really have no neck pain. All my pain is stomach and back area. It goes back and forth from burning to stabbing. I just can't take it anymore. It's consuming my time.
Oh and my friend passed from a tumor found on the pancreas. So sad. Bless her heart!!! She was a beautiful person :(. How can something like that be missed. I think that is what scares me the most.
Did they check your pancrease when they did the ultrasound? Usually the pancrease is checked on abdominal ultrasounds. This will rule out your pancreas being the culprit.
I would hope the checked. They had me switch sides several times and the checked my back. And they said the images were real clear and easy to read. I just had my records sent to the new dr so I will ask her. Can over the counter acid medications help with gallbladder relayed pain??? Anyone know plead let me know.
