I am a 31 year old white female who has a rich family history in medical issues....

FINAL PATHOLOGIC DIAGNOSIS:
A.  Pylorus, biopsy:
-  Antral and small bowel mucosa with mild reactive changes.
-  Negative for Helicobacter pylori by HE.
-  Negative for dysplasia or malignancy.

B.  Distal esophagus, biopsy:
-  Moderate reflux associated changes with focal goblet cell metaplasia.
-  Reactive squamous atypia.
-  Negative for dysplasia or malignancy.
-  See Comment.
Notes: COMMENT:
If the biopsy is derived from endoscopically abnormal mucosa in the tubular esophagus, then the findings meet the ACG diagnostic criteria for Barrett's esophagus.  Otherwise, this is considered
intestinal metaplasia at the gastroesophageal junction.  Please correlate with the clinical history, presentation and endoscopic findings.
